9/11--8 years ago....

Well it has been 8 years ago since the attack on US and I will never forget that day.

I will tell u what happened here on that fateful day.

I was at GFAFB (Goodfellow Air Force Base) just finishing up the breakfast shift cleaning up the clipper (that is the dishroom) and my good friend(work leader) came in and told me that the US been attacked and right away , I clocked out and ran to my car and turn on the radio and listened to the news of this attack. I got home and ran into the house and turned on the TV to CNN and watched this shocking news and got a call from work telling me that the North gate is closed and had to use the South gate and the base is on Threatcon DELTA which is the highest and it took me about 20-25 minutes to get into the base since they are checking every car that goes in. When I got to work, everyone is scrambling around like crazy trying to get things done and even the project manager was doing the same thing. It was a crazy day that I would never forget.

Let hope that it would never happen again.

Guns up and a BIG SALUTE to all the NYC police and firefighters who help on that fateful day.

What a Night...

On the night of the 25th, I was getting my laundry and my dog (of course) came out and do his duty and he noticed something moving around the rose bush. I got my headband flashlight and shine it on the bush and noticed there was a snake. Lucky for me, it was a Western Coachwhip. It is not poisionous but does pack a bite. I grabbed my shovel and started to beat the hell of that snake and killed it. I used the weed whacker to throw the snake to the other side of the fence and used my car to make sure it is dead. I used the whacker once more and threw it to the weeds and that's that.

I was shaking like a leaf after all that ordeal.

Sick Leave

This came from work and I thought I share it with ya.....Enjoy it!!! ;-)

******************************************************************************

Sick Leave

I urgently needed a few days off from work, but I know the boss would not allow me to take leave. I thought that maybe if I acted "crazy" then he would tell me to take a few days off. So, I hung upside-down on the ceiling and made funny noises.

My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the boss might think I was "crazy" and give me a few days off.

A few minutes later, the boss came into the office and asked, "What in the name of good GOD are you doing?" I told him I was a light bulb. He said, "You are clearly stressed out. Go home and recuperate for a couple of days". I jumped down and walked out of the office.

When my co-worker(the blonde) followed me, the boss asked her," And where do you think you're going??" (You are going to love this part) She said," I'm going home too. I can't work in the dark."

Hope that you enjoy this!!!

San Antonio Pt.2 and 3

Sorry for not posting my 2nd part. I was worned out when I was done with Six Flags. I went there from 10am -645pm and I had a good time there and the rain stayed away. I rode on several rides and I was hoping to ride "the Rattler" but it was closed and I brought myself a "Flash Pass". It is a device which will let me go up in front of the line instead of waiting in line.

Today, I went to the IMAX and watched 2 movies in 3D and then went to the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. I went to Guiness Muesum and several attratctions which happened to be all on the same street.

San Antonio Pt.1

Well, we load up the RV and discovered that the light in the bathroom does not work so, we took it to the American Truck and RV and got a new set of wires put in...Thank god it did not cost us much. ($9.50). While we were waiting, a good thunderstorm came by and dumped very heavy rain and we had to wait at the store for it to stop raining. We went back home and got our raincoat in case it rains again. We finally got on the road around 1230pm and by the time we passed Vancourt (a very small town), We got caught in the same storm!! My dad pulled over and waited for the storm to calm down. We got to Eden and stopped at Dairy Queen for lunch. They almost lost the power but it came back quickly. We got back on the road and head to the Kampground (KOA talk) in San Antonio. We finally got there at 530pm and got ourselves settled in. We almost could not separate the RV and the truck but finally did.

Stay tuned for Pt. 2
